Covermarque Sponsor a Race at Newbury Charity Race Day
Covermarque were proud to be able to sponsor The Covermarque.com for Bloodstock Insurance Handicap Stakes at the Brighter Future charity race day held at Newbury Racecouse on Tuesday 6th August 2019. The event was organised by Dr Bridget Drew OBE, mother of Nick Drew, Managing Director of Covermarque and held in memory of Bridget’s late husband and Nick’s father, John Drew B. Vet. Med MRCVS.
The proceeds from the day were split between three charities, with money going to The Injured Jockeys Fund Rehabilitation Centre, The Retraining of Racehorses and Riding for the Disabled.
The day included not only the racing, but a sponsored walk, silent auction, champagne reception and tribute band. The day was a great success raising just under £60,000.
